IP changer

These days, most people still don't realize how important hiding their IP address is when they're surfing the Internet. Some may be aware of the ways how to surf behind a proxy server, but it is more important for them to actually understand why such masking is helpful and even crucial.

An Internet Potocol or IP address is a series of numbers assigned to devices within a computer network. It is absolutely necessary that each one of these devices knows its own IP and that of another device to allow communication to happen. This address is, of course, integral if a computer or device is expected to participate in any such communication within a group. Each of the components of this network should have its own IP address because this will either be the destination to which information will be sent or the source that will be identified by the computer to which the information is transferred.

Just by looking at an IP address, one is able to obtain geographic information about its user. Many websites offer a service that allows the user to determine his or her own IP. In fact, these websites don't only show an IP but also background information about the user such as the state or country he is currently located and the ISP that supplies the Internet connection. While this website may not be able to obtain the exact home address of the user just basing on his IP, it can track geographic information based on the closest network hub. The more advanced websites will also give the user's area code and whether or not his computer is using a proxy server. This is obviously a grave invasion of privacy and it is something no Internet user would like to expose himself to given the right information and tools.

Masking IP addresses as allowed by an anonymous proxy is a a good step to take considering the rising incidences of identity thefts and other illegal online activities that take advantage of an unsuspecting user's personal information. However, even a proxy can be a source of abuse sometimes. In this case, a specially designed software would be much preferable, particularly that which enables you to hide behind a fake IP address to avoid being hacked or spammed. When you surf with a fake IP provided by an IP hider, you can explore the depths of the Internet without being tracked because you're not even using your real IP address. This way, you protect yourself from hackers, not to mention those annoying marketing emails.

Especially if you have very delicate and confidential files in your computer, you would definitely want to secure them from those who may have malicious intent in accessing them. When you surf with a fake IP address provided by a software that hides your real IP address, nobody knows you're even surfing, therefore, nobody's going to do anything to your files aside from you.
